The book that changed my life!
After Nancy Drew was encased in a plaster statue to starve, suffocate, and die, Tricia Cerrone decided pursuing writing would be safer than sleuthing.
Tricia is a former Walt Disney Imagineering creative executive where her specialty was telling stories with new technologies, and developing people and projects in the innovation space. An award-winning author in the genres of Young Adult and Romance, she has also been garnering awards with her feature screenplays and first TV pilot. Her latest script is the pilot episode for THE BLACK SWAN FILES—a near future, science fiction adventure series that follows a teen superhero navigating identity and belonging while battling oppressive forces, while emphasizing diverse characters in STEM, humor, and emotional depth. The TV Pilot script for The Black Swan Files has been receiving accolades on the screenwriting circuit and was a semi-finalist in the Richmond International Screenwriting Awards. Tricia’s first feature film screenplay, THE SKELETON WATCH won The Writers Lab competition, and was a semifinalist in the prestigious Academy Nicholl Fellowship among winning and finally in several other contests. Her latest feature, a comedy, DIVERSITY JOURNEY, placed top 10% in the Academy Nicholl Fellowship and is soon to be on the contest circuit.
Ms. Cerrone also writes romance under the pen name, Trish Albright. Her Keepers of the Legacy historical romances are epic tales of love and daring set on the high seas. Siren’s Song and Siren’s Secret have collected a number of awards. The Time Keeper, is a Christmas novella that captures all the action, romance, and snappy dialogue she is known for in her other historicals.
Whether futuristic thrillers or historical escapades, Tricia’s work is distinguished by themes of family, loyal friendships, and dauntless heroines fighting for their dreams. Her stories inspire readers of all ages to embrace their values, pursue bold ambitions, and create a better world, all while enjoying an exhilarating journey.
Tricia’s first business and leadership book, COLLABORATE TO COMPETE: A ROADMAP TO STRONGER LEADERS, HAPPIER TEAMS AND BIG RESULTS is coming March 4, 2027 with Bloomsbury Publishing. As the Lead Writer with former colleague, Edward J. van Luinen, Tricia has including many of the strategies and tactics she engaged at Walt Disney Imagineering, plus experiences from their combined 40+ years of work at Fortune 500 companies; research on why collaboration actually makes you healthier, happier, more connected, and successful; and interviews with global leaders—including CEO Jenny Ming, President of Niven Enterprises and former Disney leader Mary Niven, BLNG AI Founder Dumëne Comploi and others. In this book Cerrone and van Luinen teach:
- the five behaviors to create a culture of collaboration and why they work
- how to use noble purpose to unite and motivate teams and individuals through even the toughest times
- the immediate steps to implement collaboration on your team – today!
- how to recognize and overcome the barriers to collaborations in yourself and others

Last, Tricia’s passion for innovation and helping women and young adults, is expressed in her podcast, INNOVATION HACKERS, where she gives weekly lessons on “how to” innovate in the workplace no matter your role, and be a leader of innovation in your organization no matter what industry. Tricia believes women bring a unique perspective to technology and society equal to a civilization level superpower, and we need more women actively visioning, designing, innovating, and building communities that support our humanity and where we can all thrive.

The Black Swan Files book series: Glisten, The Black Swan Files 002 won the 2017 Wisconsin RWA Write Touch Readers’ Award for Best Young Adult Book, the 2017 Pinnacle Book Achievement Award for Young Adult Fiction, and won a SILVER MEDAL in the 2017 eLit Awards for Best Young Adult Book. Glisten was also a finalist in the 2017 YARWA Athena Awards, the 2017 Daphne du Maurier Award for Excellence in Mystery/Suspense, the 2017 Maggie Award for Excellence, and the 2017 Book Buyer’s Best Award for Young Adult. Glimmer, The Black Swan Files 001 won a 2016 GOLD MEDAL in the Independent Publishers Awards (an IPPY), for Best Young Adult E-Book and an Honorable Mention from the 2015 North Street Book Prize in Genre Fiction.
